Perched on the northeastern shore of Fourth Lake, the Inlet and Eagle Bay area beckons with its charming shops, cozy eateries, and inviting ambiance, offering a year-round enchantment in the heart of the Adirondacks. As the largest lake in the Fulton Chain of Lakes at 2,137 acres, Fourth Lake is part of a seamless waterway linking First through Fourth Lakes, each connected by channels leading northwest to Old Forge.
Additionally, Sixth and Seventh Lakes, situated in the Town of Inlet, provide a peaceful retreat from the outside world. Sixth Lake is the smaller of the two and is dammed on the western end that feeds into Fifth Lake. Sixth and Seventh Lakes are connected by a channel and are much quieter than First through Fourth Lakes. Seventh Lake has a state boat launch located near a scenic island that is great for swimming, this is known as Buck Hollow. Much of Seventh Lake is state land and the lake has retained its scenic beauty. Seventh is a great lake for fishing and holds plenty of smallmouth bass, along with rainbow trout, lake trout, and landlocked salmon.
